Snipp — Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Snipp mobile application ("Snipp", the "App"). By downloading or using Snipp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including those under the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005) and EU consumer protection law.
1. Who we are
Snipp is developed and operated by:
Matteo Giovene (sole proprietorship / ditta individuale)
VAT no. (P.IVA): 01846360335
Via Riglio 16, 29122 Piacenza (PC), Italy
Email: hello@trysnipp.app
2. What Snipp is — and is not
Snipp helps you track recurring subscriptions, see renewal dates, and stay aware of what you spend. It is an organisational tool, not a financial service:
- Snipp does not provide financial, legal or tax advice.
- Catalog information — service names, plans, indicative prices, cancellation links and instructions — is provided for information only. Prices and terms of third-party services change frequently; always verify with the service provider before making decisions.
- Renewal reminders, spending totals, currency conversions and "savings" figures are estimates based on the data you entered. They may be incomplete or out of date, and notification delivery depends on your device settings and iOS — it is not guaranteed.
- Cancelling a subscription always happens with the third-party provider, not inside Snipp. Marking a subscription as cancelled in Snipp does not cancel it with the provider.
3. License to use the App
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Snipp on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms.
You may not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the App;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- remove or alter proprietary notices;
- use the App unlawfully, to infringe others' rights, or to harm or overload the service (including automated/bot access, abuse of the catalog API, or attempts to circumvent rate limits or purchase entitlements);
- use the App to monitor anyone else's spending without their consent.
4. Your data and responsibility
You own the subscription data you enter. It is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping your device secure. We recommend keeping iCloud sync enabled or exporting your data periodically as a backup.
5. Free version and Snipp Pro
Free version. The free version of Snipp lets you track a limited number of active subscriptions (currently up to 5) with core features.
Snipp Pro. Pro unlocks the full feature set. Pro is currently offered as a one-time Lifetime purchase: you pay once and keep Pro features on your Apple Account, with no recurring charge. "Lifetime" means the commercial lifetime of the Snipp app, not your lifetime or an unconditional guarantee of perpetual availability (see Section 8).
Purchases and billing. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store under your Apple Account. Prices are shown in your local currency, inclusive of applicable VAT where required. We may change prices for future purchases; changes never affect what you have already bought.
Refunds. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights (including remedies for defective digital content under the Italian Consumer Code) remain unaffected.
Future subscription products. If we ever offer auto-renewing subscriptions, they will be clearly disclosed in the App with price and renewal period before purchase, will auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and will be manageable and cancellable at any time in your Apple Account settings.
6. Import
Snipp can import subscription data from screenshots, PDFs, CSV files and emails. Recognition runs on your device and is provided "as is": extraction can contain errors, and you must review and confirm imported data before relying on it. The privacy safeguards that apply to import are described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party services, trademarks and logos
Snipp displays names, logos and brand assets of third-party subscription services solely to help you identify your subscriptions. These remain the property of their respective owners. Snipp is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of the services listed in its catalog.
The App relies on services provided by third parties — including Apple (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit), RevenueCat (purchase management) and our infrastructure providers. Their availability is outside our control, and your use of Apple services is governed by Apple's own terms.
8. Availability, updates and changes
We work to keep Snipp available and improving, and we may release updates that add, change or remove features. Some updates may be required for continued use. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or parts of it; if we discontinue the App or materially reduce paid functionality, we will give reasonable notice where practicable. Maintenance, technical issues or events beyond our reasonable control may cause temporary unavailability.
9. Intellectual property
The App — its code, design, graphics, text and functionality — is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Third-party logos remain the property of their owners (Section 7). If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
10. Warranties and liability
For consumers. We provide the App with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Your statutory remedies for digital content that does not conform to the contract (Italian Consumer Code, arts. 135-octies ff.) remain unaffected. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, and we are not responsible for decisions you take based on informational content (Section 2) or for failures of third-party services (including iCloud, the App Store, or the subscription services you track).
For business users (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim or €50, excluding indirect and consequential damages.
11. Termination
You can stop using Snipp at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate your license, with reasonable notice where practicable (immediately for serious violations), if you materially breach these Terms or use the App fraudulently or unlawfully. Upon termination the license ends; your local and iCloud data remain under your control unless you delete them. Termination does not affect your statutory rights regarding purchases already made.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at trysnipp.app/terms with its "Last updated" date; for material changes we will notify you in the App. If you continue using Snipp after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply. If a material change adversely affects a paid feature you purchased, you may contact us and we will find a fair remedy consistent with your statutory rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence as provided by law.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@trysnipp.app — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally. Consumers in Italy and the EU may also have recourse to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies under the Italian Consumer Code.
14. Apple App Store terms
These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App (including product liability, regulatory compliance, consumer protection or IP claims), which are our responsibility. In case of the App's failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a relevant government embargo and are not on any restricted-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the App, with notice to you. Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure) excuse delays in performance.
